Marc Braet, Chief Executive Officer
Marc was appointed Chief Executive Officer of INTIX in January 2016 whilst having co-founded the company in 2011 with Wouter Van Santvliet. At INTIX, Marc is responsible for the company’s commercial strategy, profitability and growth and serves on the INTIX Board.
Marc started his career at TNT Express Worldwide in 1994 and joined SWIFT in 1996 where he occupied several commercial and managerial positions. Marc played an instrumental role in the commercial roll-out of industry initiatives like SEPA, Target2, SWIFT’s corporates program and many more. Marc, who has many years of experience in global, multi-cultural business environments, is fluent in English, French and Dutch, and holds a masters degree in Applied Economics from the University of Leuven (KUL) in Belgium.
Wouter Van Santvliet, Chief Technology Officer
Wouter was appointed Chief Technology Officer of INTIX in January 2016 whilst having co-founded the company in 2011 with Marc Braet. At INTIX, Wouter is responsible for product management, operations and technology strategy and serves on the INTIX Board.
Wouter started his career at Beyers & Partners in 1994, later on acquired by XRT, where he was R&D-manager for the Globe$ cash and treasury management system. In 2002 he was CTO and co-founder of Trax, a software development company providing payment factory and electronic banking solutions to large corporates and financial institutions. Trax was acquired by Sungard in 2006. Wouter Van Santvliet has a masters degree in mathematics and finance, and is fluent in English, French and Dutch.
André Casterman, Chief Marketing Officer
André Casterman was appointed Chief Marketing Officer of INTIX in February 2016. André also chairs the Fintech Committee of the International Trade and Forfaiting Association (ITFA) with a focus on helping banks automate trade finance and helping to establish it as an investable asset class through use of data analytics and artificial intelligence.
Prior to his current role, André spent over 20 years with SWIFT, leading various technology innovations in inter-bank payments, corporate treasury, and trade finance. During that time, he established an institutional partnership between SWIFT and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and created the first ISO 20022-based digital trade settlement instrument.
André Casterman holds a masters degree in Applied Economics from ICHEC Brussels Management School and two masters degrees in Applied Computer Sciences and Management from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) in Belgium. André is fluent in English, French and Dutch.
